![]() Raspberry). In fact, I have never dealt with a major virus on Windows. I remember once I went somewhere and they had Macs you could use, but there was some odd malware which made every link on the internet point to Apple's homepage and Safari was not able to be closed. I have no idea how it happened, but to me, this makes me think Windows is more secure. The fake pop-ups were for random news websites and download links to other malware such as MacKeeper (who guesses that this malware and MacKeeper were made by the same people?) However, despite this pop-up mess, I was able to download an antivirus and cleaned my Mac. I have never dealt with a virus this serious before. My homepage was hijacked to some random generic search site and every-time you clicked a link, a pop-up would appear along with the link you clicked. On my Mac though, it took 4 days after I got it to get a virus, and it was really bad. ![]() For me, a new Windows PC takes years to get a virus. I have dealt with some really annoying viruses such as Amazon Assistant (which re-installs itself, very annoying stuff to remove as it isn't even in some of the best security suite's databases), but nothing serious enough to make the computer unusable. ![]()
